PTA

Our PTA

St Peter’s Primary School has an active PTA who work hard to raise money for school projects and to provide social events for both parents and children. In recent years, the PTA has provided funding for items such as interactive whiteboards, IT equipment, a new stage and lighting for the hall and the outside staging.

The pandemic impacted our ability to fundraise, so now, more than ever, we need new volunteers to join us and support our activities.  Over the forthcoming year we hope to raise as much as possible to further enrich our school.

Want to get involved?

The PTA has a committee led by:

Beckie Devlin (Chairperson); Hannah Farmer (Deputy-Chair); Shaun Bigg (Treasurer); Tamsin Gibbs (Secretary); Emma Oliver-Taylor (Communications Officer) and Bebe Newson, Eve Tulip, Nicola Spree, Karina Gummer, Klaire Hinchliffe, Jessica Warner.

They are supported by Parent/Carer Helpers who help to organise events and fundraising activities.

Mrs Maurice (Headteacher) and Mrs Jewell (EYFS Team Leader) are also members of the PTA.

We have two options when joining the PTA:

  1. Join as a Committee Member and come to all meetings
  2. Join as a Helper and help with specific tasks or events

Any assistance is a great help so please dont worry if you only have a little time to give.

If you would like to become involved or feel you could help in any way then please let the School Office know and they will put you in touch with a committee member.

Meetings

Our meetings are held in a very informal and friendly environment.  They usually involve a free drink and a laugh, as well as lots of good discussions about our upcoming events and plans.

Keep an eye out for school communications and on our Facebook page for our next meeting date.  We urge everyone to come along, hear what we’ve been up to and what our next plans are.

Check out our Facebook page for news and upcoming events! Hit the Like button to be kept up to date with all our notifications.

Maybe you just want to make a donation?

We’d be extremely grateful if you did! To make a donation to the PTA’s much needed fundraising efforts, please contact the School Office.
