Saturday 8th June – Garden and Arts Festival
The school will be open from between 11 and 4, to view the children’s art work based on this year’s Take One Picture project from the National Gallery. Pimms and other refreshments will also be available!
Saturday 13th July – Henfield Summer Fayre
Compettions for children to enter are:
BAKE OFF: Decorated sponge cake (max 20cm), Plate of 6 sweet or savoury scone, s Plate of 6 sausage rolls, Jar of fruit jam (min 340g), Jar of marmalade (min 340g), Jar of chutney (min 340g)
GROW OFF: Vase of garden flowers (max 12 stems), Basket of homegrown vegetables (max 6 types), Bowl of homegrown fruit (max 6 types)
CRAFT OFF A painting or photograph – theme: ‘Hidden Henfield’, A hat decorated by hand Mosaic made with new or used ceramic items
CHILDREN’S CATEGORIES: Under 7, Under 12, Under 16, 4 decorated homemade cupcakes, Craft activity – a picture of Henfield in any medium or material
FAMILY COMPETITION Make a scarecrow – theme: any character from the ‘Toy Story’ films.
