Drinks in school
Every child should come to school with a bottle of water, which they will have access to throughout the day. Bottles should only contain water, as fruit juice, squash, fizzy drinks are not permitted. More information on hydration can be found on: https://www.nutrition.org.uk/healthyliving/hydration/hydration-for-children.html
Milk
Children in YR are eligible to receive milk, which is given in a small carton every morning break. The cost is free until a child’s 5th birthday whereby Parents/Carers will be contacted by Cool Milk, the milk provider for an account to be opened. Further information can be found on the Cool Milk website.
Fruit/Breaktime Snack
A piece of fruit or vegetable is available for every child in Years R, 1 and 2 as a mid-morning snack to have at break. Children in Years 3,4,5 and 6 should bring their own piece of fruit of veg in to enjoy.
Can I my child bring in edible treats for the whole class?
We are unable to allow sweets or cakes of any type to be brought into school, regardless of the reason e.g. a birthday celebration or end of term treat.
